Several industries are still reeling from the after effects of the recession. Most companies faced losses during this period and the Global spending on IT also suffered a huge set back during the last year. However, things are looking up as the investment in the IT sector is expected to grow in 2010.
According to a report by the research firm Gartner, information technology spending for the year 2009 is expected to reduce further by 5.2 per cent. However, Gartner is confident that the spending will increase by 3.3 per cent in the year 2010. This means that the total investment amount will be around $3.3 trillion.
However, the market is not expected to replicate the 2008 standings, until the year 2012.
According to Peter Sondergaard, 2010 will balance the focus on expenses, risk and growth. He also said that the IT budget will show a positive increase in 2011. This year proved to be disastrous for the IT sector. This has impelled several IT companies to incorporate the use of partners in order to boost their sales. By using this method they have further cemented their relationship with partners by employing effective partner relationship management strategies.
